Keep The Faith
Sometimes faith means trusting God's direction even when the road ahead isn't clear.
If you have been waiting on God to answer your prayers, I encourage you in this season of waiting to keep the faith. I am writing to you from a sunny pool patio in while vacationing with my family in Florida. You think, sure that sounds real distressing (sarcastically of course)! It is serene and relaxing. I look out into the distance and see only trees for miles. This aesthetic reminds me of God’s protection. Like a silent army he guards me, like a still giant he watches over me. Above the screen panel the clouds go one for miles and miles painting an image of how God blankets me and comforts me when I am sad.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
But no matter how beautiful the landscape it doesn’t heal the aching of a heart. In this life we are all going to have mixtures of grief, happiness, disappointment, fear, anxiety and excitement. They churn inside us each getting a turn in the seasons that life brings. But when you know Jesus, like really know Him, personally, those emotions that churn us inside out will be transformed into joy, peace, longsuffering, quiet waiting, expectant hope and a constant assurance.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
When you ball them up and roll them together like Playdoh, you have a ball of faith (bear with me I’m the parable girl). As life gets hard and stormy weather blows; predicted and unexpected that ball of faith gets bigger until it is a mighty boulder. It keeps rolling until it becomes a mighty rock to stand on. That has been my faith on this journey called life friends. It hasn’t always been a sunny vacation in paradise…
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
But just know God has answered my prayers. Some have taken a few days; some have taken two years and some He didn’t answer the way I wanted Him to…But He sure enough answered! He is still answering and getting to them all. Just not in my time but His. Honestly, I don’t want him to answer in my time. My time is hurried, impatient and imperfect. His time is perfect. That’s what we trust in, God’s timing. Never stop praying, your requests are being cared for by The Master Timekeeper. He will never drop the ball.
““Be still, and know that I am God.””
If you have answered prayers and you want to share a praise report, please share. If you would like for me and other readers to stand in agreement with a specific prayer share below as well. I read every post!
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
Keep the Faith. Keep the Wonder. Keep Walking.
